Knowledge of and compliance with data security standards can bring major benefits to your business, while failure to comply can have serious and long-term negative consequences.
This seminar will have a key focus on payment card security and it will provide an overview on how the PCI Standards can mitigate such security issues.
Areas covered by the seminar include:
- Overview of PCI requirements, how they enhance data security, and support compliance with the PCI Data Security Standard
- Roles and responsibilities of key players in the compliance process – including overviews of the Internal Security Assessor (ISA), Qualified Security Assessor (QSA), and Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) programs
- PCI Data Security Standard (DSS) overview
- PCI reporting overview
- What constitutes PCI compliance
- Synopsis of the infrastructure used by organizations to accept payment cards and communicate with verification and payment facilities
Who should attend:
PCI Awareness program is geared to a broad audience including executives, managers, internal auditor, or an internal security or risk assessment professional and staff who are affected by PCI compliance requirements. Also, anyone who has experience in any one of these areas with Security/Technology, Compliance/Risk/Governance, Audit/Finance, e-Commerce, Product Development, Marketing or Sales (develop or sell payments-oriented products). Anyone can benefit from this seminar – no previous PCI knowledge is required.
The course structure and content are developed by Prasath, our Cyber Security expert at TÜV SÜD. In addition to Cyber Security designing, assessments and audits, he is passionate about how to maximise the efforts of security in helping businesses to have a minimum loss during a breach.
Prasath is presently developing and establishing the Cyber security services required to enable businesses to integrate security in to various technologies like Big Data and Artificial intelligence platforms. Also, cyber security assessments and audits for businesses lacking the advantage of security.
Prasath started his career in Data Security in 2010, as a security engineer for Louis Vuitton and Marks & Spencer. After coming to Singapore, he has designed, assessed, and audited cyber security in various industries like insurance, governments, banks etc. He was previously from Land Transport Authority before joining TÜV SÜD. He is an avid security speaker for many forums and Technical writer for ISACA and ISC2.
