In the EU, all explosion-proof equipment and systems fall under the ATEX Directive. This includes anything used within, or in conjunction with potentially explosive atmospheres such as safety, control and regulation devices and protective components, equipment and systems. To access worldwide markets, the IECEx Certified Equipment Scheme facilitates international trade in equipment and services for use in explosive atmospheres, while certifying them to the required level of safety.
This seminar provides insights into both ATEX and IECEx certification schemes, so that participants can make well-informed decisions on which is more suitable for them. It also covers brief introduction of the various ignition protection measures that are mandatory for compliance with the various IEC/EN 600079 standards.
