Munich. With immediate effect, Consumer Product Services at TÜV SÜD will embark on a partnership with NAVEX Global, specialists in the field of anonymous complaints management and compliance. NAVEX’s EthicsPoint portal will offer staff, global customers and their suppliers the opportunity to report infringements of TÜV SÜD’s Code of Conduct or other concerns in complete confidentiality. By introducing the new platform, TÜV SÜD will ensure that it continues to offer the highest quality of services to its customers.
Any customer of TÜV SÜD services can now go to the independent EthicsPoint website (www.tuv-sud.ethicspoint.com), which is not hosted or managed by TÜV SÜD and launch a complaint in case any inappropriate behaviour or corruption has been noted. EthicsPoint will document the report and send it to the Global Quality Management Representative at TÜV SÜD Asia for investigation. This service is available at major sourcing / buying locations in the world.
Unethical behaviour will not be tolerated
EthicsPoint will provide the opportunity to submit complaints of all kinds – spanning testing, inspection, auditing or general ethical issues – via a whistleblowers’ hotline and online form. All reports will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and meticulously researched. Complaints will be recorded in detail and passed to the responsible individual of Global Quality Management at TÜV SÜD Product Service for further investigation which is an independent function at TÜV SÜD and not linked to any country operations. “The partnership with EthicsPoint is designed to make sure that we get independent view of all the complaints and protect the identity of the complainant in case he or she wants to be anonymous. Reports will provide us with helpful information that will enable us to further improve our processes and services. Unethical behaviour is a violation of our Code of Conduct and will not be tolerated. Our partnership with EthicsPoint gives complainants the ability to voice any concerns without fear of repercussions”, explains Ishan Palit, Global CEO of Product Service Division at TÜV SÜD.
Incidents can be reported worldwide
The objective of complains reporting is to enable problems and concerns over unethical or unlawful conduct to be shared securely and honestly with the management of a company without infringing the principles of anonymity and discretion. By providing this possibility NAVEX Global and TÜV SÜD strive to streamline the complaints management process as far as possible.
