TÜV SÜD: Patrick Fruth is the new head of the Auto Service Division
Munich - Patrick Fruth (41) will be the new Head of the Auto Service Division of TÜV SÜD AG from 15 September 2014, taking over the helm from long-standing CEO Bernhard Kerscher (54), who is staying at TÜV SÜD AG as Head of the Industry Service division. Formerly Managing Director of TÜV SÜD Auto Plus GmbH, Fruth has extensive experience in both the commercial and production side of the automotive sector at national and international level.
Patrick Fruth (photo) can look back on a wide-ranging career in the automotive industry. Before joining TÜV SÜD Auto Plus GmbH, he had held various positions at Daimler AG as well as gaining extensive insight into national and international automotive markets as a management consultant, at the automotive supplier Knorr Bremse AG and as a member of top management at the auto workshop chain ATU. Fruth is also a visiting lecturer at Nürtingen-Geislingen Universit.
In his new capacity, Fruth primarily aims to expand the customer network and further increase customer satisfaction by offering a broad range of services and individual solutions. Other focal areas to be addressed by the new CEO include expansion of truck services and services for vintage and classic cars. Fruth explains, “We will successively build a fully complementary range of services and improve the interconnection of individual services without compromising on flexibility and reliability. This applies across the board, from operators of major international fleets, manufacturers and our 16,000-plus partner workshops down to the individual customers that we welcome daily at one of our 400 and more inspection centres worldwide. To achieve this, we will make the most of the extensive expertise and dedication of our 5,300 members of staff.”
