Munich/Shenzhen - TÜV SÜD has opened its new testing centre in Shenzhen. The new location expandsthe company’s laboratory space to over 10,000 sqm.The testing centre accommodates four testing laboratories for electrical and electronic products (E&E), electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), toys and chemical testing.The centre has various testing capabilities for electrical equipment and machinery, shoes, textiles, toys and products for children as well as medical devices, thus covering all sectors in which Guangdong’s manufacturing industry has traditionally played a strong role.
TÜV SÜD has been represented in Shenzhen for 14 years. "We consider the Greater China region to be the most important strategic market outside Germany. Our heavy investments in Shanghai, Xiamen and Shenzhen over recent years, demonstrate our confidence in the belief that the Chinese market will have promising prospects in the long run", explains Dirk von Wahl, President & CEO of TÜV SÜD Greater China. The new location is able to achieve a more sophisticated and modern lab management model by optimising areas such as equipment and testing environment while simultaneously expanding the service portfolio.
