Munich - An experienced manager for one of TÜV SÜD’s most extensive areas of operation: Bernhard Kerscher (54) has been appointed the new Head of the Industry Service Division, with effect from 15 September 2014. The Industry Service Division employs over 4,700 staff worldwide and generated sales exceeding 550 million euros in 2013.
Bernhard Kerscher has been with the TÜV SÜD Group since 2010, most recently as CEO of TÜV SÜD Auto Service GmbH and head of the Auto Service Division at TÜV SÜD AG. In his new position as Head of the Industry Service Division, the automotive and industrial engineering graduate will contribute his extensive international experience and wide-ranging expertise in establishing and expanding new services.
The TÜV SÜD Group’s Industry Service Division is the focal point for the corporation’s global engineering services for industrial manufacturers and for the safe, reliable operation and optimisation of industrial plants and systems, refineries and power plants. The services provided by the division span the entire life cycle of plants and systems, from planning and construction to dismantling or demolition. The experts at the Industry Service Division are also sought after as partners in the development of future-oriented themes, including renewable energies, energy efficiency and risk management. They make a key contribution to ensuring innovative technologies are safe, reliable and cost-effective. With over 4,700 staff around the world and sales exceeding 550 million euros in 2013, the Industry Service Division is one of the two largest divisions of the TÜV SÜD Group.
