I have been a part of TÜV SÜD PSB since 1994. I first joined TÜV SÜD PSB as an Intern from Nanyang Technology University and officially as a full time employee in 1995, effectively beginning my career till to-date.
My life in TÜV SÜD PSB has been an exciting and challenging one.
In 1998, I was tasked to assist with the setup of the first Product Certification Scheme (now known as TÜV SÜD PSB Product Listing Scheme). This scheme was widely accepted by Singapore Government regulators.
I was promoted to head Sibercert Pte Ltd in 2001, which was a subsidiary of PSB Corporation then. One of my main responsibilities was to manage Sibercert's online business. To further enhance my capabilities, the Company sponsored my E-Commerce Diploma which I graduated as the Top Student !
Seeing a fresh setup grow to a business with annual revenue of S$3 million and successfully joined the Small Medium Enterprise (SME) 500 list of companies had been one of my most memorable and enriching experience. I would like to credit the success of Sibercert to all the former staff of Sibercert Pte Ltd as it was certainly a proud achievement for all of us.
I was given added exposure in 2005 when I was tasked to support PSB's regionalisation strategy to expand its overseas operations into countries like Malaysia, Thailand, China, Taiwan, Philippines and Indonesia with a team of our industry segment experts.
Currently as the Senior Vice President (SVP) of the Inspection business unit, I am responsible for introducing inspection services into the ASEAN region, including Singapore.
Thanks to TÜV SÜD PSB's efforts in promoting training, learning and growing employees; I am able to utilize and strengthen my skills, knowledge, and ability in managing the growth of the business.
From an Engineer to a Senior Vice President leading a business unit, I have, and still am, enjoying every moment of my working experience in TÜV SÜD PSB whom has provided me with every opportunity to excel and execute my tasks with confidence.
The experiences are simply priceless and I will recommend you to join me in this great Company!
