The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is an independent United States government agency. The FCC was established by the Communications Act of 1934 and is charged with regulating interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite and cable.
TÜV SÜD PSB Singapore has been officially designated as a Telecommunication Certification Body (TCB) as from 2 June 2006 to carry out the roles of a TCB within its accredited scope by FCC and Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) Singapore. A TCB has the authority to review and grant an application for certification to the FCC rules. It is also required to have the capacity and test equipment necessary to perform testing to a "core" set of test. The following accreditation is compulsory:
